Tired of sleeping on pillows where you can't find the cool side? Try the new Graphite Latex Pillow! Using perforated natural latex as the base, which is already one of the most breathable materials out there, it infuses a percentage of graphite-based pigment into the fold. Graphite’s high thermal conductivity draws heat away much faster than standard latex, providing a noticeably cooler surface. Plus, graphite latex increases the natural elasticity of our regular latex by 42%, ensuring better response all night!
Graphite is one of the best natural conductors of heat, and when infused throughout the latex core, it actively draws heat away from your head and neck rather than letting it build up. Pair that with a perforated latex core that keeps air moving freely all night, and you have a pillow that stays consistently cool from the moment your head hits it to the moment your alarm goes off.
Regular pillows compress under the weight of your head and stay there. Graphite latex doesn't. The graphite infusion increases the natural elasticity of natural latex by 42%, meaning the pillow springs back the instant you shift positions. Whether you're a side sleeper, back sleeper, stomach sleeper, or somewhere in between, it moves with you and resets for you, all night long.
Latex is a milky white sap tapped from rubber trees. That sap gets whipped, poured into molds, and baked using the Dunlop method - a process that gives our pillows their dense, supportive feel. Compared to Talalay latex, Dunlop requires less energy to produce. Its higher density also makes it more durable. And because we use GOLS-certified organic latex, you're getting a material that’s clean and sustainable.
We highly recommend adding a pillow protector to keep your pillow safe and secure, away from airborne impurities, allergens (like dust mites), liquid spills, hard-to-remove stains, and the like. For the Graphite Latex Pillow, our top recommendation is the Organic Cotton Sateen Zippered Pillow Protector Cover. It's undyed and unbleached, made with soft 400 thread count sateen weave cotton.
Looking to partner up our graphite latex pillows with a mattress? Look no further than our latex mattresses. We've got a wide collection - from all-foam to hybrid, DIY, Bigg+, and flippable designs. Every mattress uses natural latex foam, combined with top-notch organic materials like cotton, wool, and recycled steel. If you love our pillows, you're sure to love our mattresses.
Pro-Tip: Turmerry pillows are much easier to maintain if protected with an outer cover. We recommend using washable covers to make the maintenance process much easier for you.
Try these (they fit best!) -
Spot-clean in case of spillage - If you spill anything on the pillow, do not wash the cover or the graphite latex foam in a machine, as they aren't machine washable. All you have to do is remove the cover first, then use a sponge to gently spot-clean the liquid-stained areas (on both the cover and the foam) with cold water and mild detergent. Make sure everything is fully dry before putting the cover back on and resuming use.
Avoid long-term exposure to sunlight/heat - Our graphite latex pillows should not be exposed to direct sunlight for extended periods. Exposure to severe heat above 85 degrees Fahrenheit should also be avoided. As the pillows are made from latex, excessive sunlight or heat can degrade the material's integrity, reducing their lifespan.
Handle with care - If proper care isn't practiced when handling our pillows, they may rip or tear. Be gentle when removing them from the packaging; place them carefully on your mattress. They may also easily absorb dust/dirt, depending on where you live, and could become difficult to clean if left unprotected (without a cover).
Clean regularly - Vacuum the pillow's surface every month or so. Avoid eating and drinking on it, and spot-clean spills/stains immediately. All of these steps can lead to a long-lasting pillow.
Natural latex is the white, milky sap harvested from rubber trees (Hevea Brasiliensis). It’s turned into foam through either the Dunlop or Talalay method. We use the Dunlop method for our latex because of its density and durability compared to Talalay.
Graphite latex is essentially natural latex infused with graphite-based pigment.
So instead of just getting regular latex, you're getting a version that sleeps cooler, responds faster, lasts longer, and stays fresher.
Most pillows, whether they're filled with down, feather, polyester, or memory foam, share a few common problems. They flatten over time and need to be replaced every 1 to 2 years. They also trap heat and absorb (or off-gas) odors. A graphite latex pillow solves all of these at once.
Natural latex is already a step above most pillow fills. Graphite takes that foundation and improves it across the board. The pillow responds faster. It conducts heat away from your head. Its natural carbon properties neutralize odors. And it reinforces the latex structure against oxidation.
On top of all that, our graphite latex pillow is perforated for airflow, covered in organic cotton, GOLS-certified, and fully customizable in size, firmness, and loft. So compared to a regular pillow, it's a fundamentally different sleep experience.
Permanent. The graphite isn't a coating. It's infused throughout the latex during manufacturing, making it a structural part of the foam itself. It can't wash out, wear off, or degrade with use. The cooling properties you feel on day one are the same ones you'll feel five years later.
Our graphite latex pillows can last 5+ years with good care. They don’t flatten out and lose shape the way cheaper synthetic pillows do. The natural resilience of latex, further strengthened by graphite infusion, keeps the pillow comfortable night after night, without the early sag you get in most regular pillows.
For most people, yes. It comes down to the base material. Both use graphite to improve cooling, but graphite can only do so much when the material underneath is working against it.
Memory foam is dense and retains heat. Graphite helps offset that, but it doesn't change what memory foam fundamentally is. Latex is already breathable and open-celled, so graphite is enhancing a strong material rather than compensating for a weak one.
Responsiveness is where people notice it most. Memory foam sinks slowly and recovers slowly. Graphite latex bounces back the instant you move. Durability is another gap. Memory foam develops permanent compression over time, while graphite latex holds its support for years longer.
From a materials standpoint, graphite memory foam is synthetic and can off-gas VOCs when new. Graphite latex is organically sourced and eco-friendly.
The graphite latex pillow is best for side and back sleepers -
Shredded latex is made from very small pieces of latex foam, which makes the pillow more adjustable and moldable. You can fluff it, scrunch it, or even remove some fill to get the exact height and feel you want. It’s great if you like a softer, more customizable pillow.
Solid latex, on the other hand, gives you a more consistent shape and feel. It’s bouncier, responsive, and tends to hold its structure better over time - ideal if you like a pillow that stays in place without shifting around.
Dunlop latex is made by whipping natural rubber sap into a froth, pouring it into a mold all at once, and baking it. As it bakes, the heavier particles settle toward the bottom, which gives Dunlop a denser feel. It’s more energy-efficient and produces a durable foam that offers strong support, which is why we use it in our pillows.
Talalay latex goes through a few extra steps. After the sap is poured into the mold, it’s partially filled, then vacuum-sealed to evenly distribute the foam. It’s flash-frozen, then baked. This process creates a fluffier latex with soft density that feels more airy and plush. But it also takes more energy and resources to produce.
If you like more support and durability, a Dunlop latex pillow is the way to go. If you prefer more cushioning and consistency, a Talalay latex pillow might be more your style.
No. The graphite is added at relatively low concentrations, enough to meaningfully enhance the pillow's performance, but not enough to add significant weight. It handles just like a standard latex pillow in terms of weight and movement.
Yes. Graphite latex pillows offer solid support without being too stiff, helping keep your head, neck, and shoulders better aligned while you sleep. That means less pressure and strain, especially if you're already dealing with pain.
They don’t sink unevenly overnight, so you’re not constantly waking up sore. It’s not a cure, but a good graphite latex pillow creates the right kind of environment, letting your body recover without making things worse.
No, don’t put your graphite latex pillow in the washing machine. Soaking it in water or tossing it in a wash cycle can damage the foam and break it down over time.
If it needs cleaning, spot-clean only. Here’s how -
Mix a little mild detergent with warm water. Dip a clean cloth/sponge in the solution, gently blot the stain, and avoid rubbing too hard. Then, use another damp cloth/sponge to wipe away any soap residue. Let the pillow air dry completely, but keep it out of direct sunlight.
To keep it cleaner longer, we recommend using a pillow protector.
When it’s brand new, you might notice a light, vanilla-like scent. That’s just the natural smell of latex. It’s not toxic or chemical like the scent of memory foam, and it usually fades within a few days. Just airing the pillow out for a bit will help it clear up faster.
It's not mandatory, but we recommend adding one, yes. An extra cover helps protect your graphite latex pillow from spills, stains, and everyday wear, keeping it fresher for longer. Go with something breathable, like an organic cotton cover or bamboo cover, so you don’t lose that cool feel latex is known for.
Nope. The graphite latex pillow doesn’t need any fluffing. It’s a single, solid piece of graphite latex foam that holds its shape on its own. No squishing or refluffing needed.
Yes, no problem at all. Graphite latex pillows work great on adjustable beds. They stay supportive whether you're lying flat or propped up. And they’re dense enough to hold their shape under a weighted blanket, without getting crushed.
Look for certifications that are trusted and verified. The big ones are -
If a graphite latex pillow has a mix of these, you’re getting one of the best there is.
